Terms & Conditions

The service will operate on 24-hour 365-day bases. Normal hours of operation are from 09:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday

Service Fees               

Interpreter                

To pay a minimum call-out fee equivalent to 3 hours for all assignments lasting 3 hours or any part thereof.

For all assignments, lasting over 3 hours an hourly rate will be charged for every additional hour or part thereof.

Please note that when Interpreters are required to travel long distances; this time may be chargeable and will be negotiated beforehand.

Block Bookings:

I will be happy to negotiate preferential rates for block bookings or long-term contracts.

Cancellations/Postponements

* 14 Working days or more notice                   No fee

* 7 – 14 Working days notice              50% of total charge

* 7 working days or less notice           100% of total charge

Payment:

Please note payment is to be received by the Accounts department of Communication Support Ltd within 30 days from date of invoice.

Late Payment:

Please note that any payment not received within 30 days shall be liable to an Admin charge plus interest on any outstanding balance. Interest is charged at 4% bank of England base rate plus 8% in line with the small business finance Act.

Working Hours:

Normal working hours are from 09:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday

Unsocial hours 1-

18:00 to 21:00 are charged at time and one half.

Unsocial Hours 2-

21:00 to 07:00 are charged at double rate.

Unsocial Hours 3-

07:00 to 09:00 are charged at time and one half.

Weekend end rates are charge at Saturday 09:00 to 13:00 time and one half thereafter charged at double rate.

Sundays /bank holidays /national holidays including Christmas day are charged at double rate.

Travel Expenses:

Please note, travel to any
assignment will be deemed to have originated from the Communicator’s / Interpreter’s home or last assignment venue. Travel may be by train, underground, bus or coach and will be charge at local / national rates

Travel by privately owned vehicle is charge at 0.43 pence per mile from A – B return or to next assignment whichever is nearest.

Car Parking:

Car parking charges may be chargeable and will be charge at local / national rates.

Subsistence:

A meal allowance may be payable according to the time length of the assignment and distance travelled.

Overnight Accommodation:

In the event that a Communicator / Interpreter require overnight accommodation, this will be provided at cost or an agreed rate and agreed to prior the commencement of said assignment.

General Information:

It is recommended that 2 Interpreters should be booked to co-work over assignments lasting 3 hours or more. In exceptional circumstance should an Interpreter have to work on my own we will amend the service fee to cover the additional workload undertaken by the communicator / interpreter?

All bookings are accepted on
the understanding that Interpreters are given adequate breaks; this is to
ensure that the service provided is of the highest quality, where performances
are not adversely affected by tiredness. 

(They should be allocated at least 15 minutes in every hour for a break with a minimum of 35 minutes for a lunch break where applicable)
